About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Tool Technician I to join our client's team in the oil and gas industry. In this role, you will contribute to performing maintenance functions, assembling and disassembling equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance functions such as repairs on down-hole tools and surface equipment.
- Assemble and disassemble down-hole tools and other production equipment.
- Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
- Prior oilfield or mechanical experience is an advantage
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Basic reading, writing, and comprehension skills in English
- Basic computer skills preferred (data entry, basic systems navigation)
- Effective verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment typical of oilfield operations
- Willingness to comply with safety standards and participate in safety training
- Valid driver's license; licensure to operate commercial equipment may be required depending on assignment
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience in oil field service work.
