Position Title: Financial Servicing Analyst
Department: Strategic Investment & Evaluation
Reports to: Financial Servicing Director

Position Summary
The Financial Servicing Analyst brings strong analytical, operational, and relationship management capabilities to support the administration of a diverse portfolio of grants, loans, and tax credit awards. This role requires the ability to interpret complex financial and contractual information, ensure compliance with program requirements, and contribute to consistent, high-quality servicing practices across the organization.
Tasks: The Analyst will spend a majority of their time reviewing & analyzing funding requests for grant, loan, and tax credit awards, performing award closeouts to summarize project outcomes, monitoring contract obligations including tracking of delinquencies, and working with internal and external customers to provide guidance and assistance related to award contracts.
Responsibilities:
The Financial Servicing Analyst will spend a majority of their time in these activities:
Analytical & Financial Acumen
- Interprets and evaluates financial, contractual, and program data to support funding decisions and portfolio management
- Applies critical thinking to identify discrepancies, risks, and areas requiring escalation
- Synthesizes complex information into clear, actionable insights
Operational Excellence & Process Management
- Manages multiple workflows and priorities while maintaining accuracy and timeliness
- Applies strong organizational and documentation practices to ensure consistency and audit readiness
- Identifies opportunities to improve processes and contributes to implementation of solutions
Compliance & Risk Awareness
- Demonstrates understanding of contractual obligations and compliance requirements
- Monitors portfolio performance and identifies potential risks, including delinquencies or reporting gaps
- Exercises sound judgment in decision-making and issue resolution
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicates complex information clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Provides guidance and support to stakeholders regarding program requirements and processes
Technology & Data Management
- Utilizes business systems and software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office suite and data systems) to manage, analyze, and report information
- Maintains data integrity through accurate entry, tracking, and documentation practices
Professionalism & Accountability
- Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism
- Works independently with accountability for outcomes while contributing to team objectives
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Two or more years of experience in data analytics, accounting, audit, financial operations, or a related field.
Other Requirements:
- State-wide travel may occur on an occasional basis, less than 5% of the time. Travel is anticipated to include day travel.
- Based on the responsibilities of this position, this position may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
