Structural Bridge Engineer - Project Manager to support and grow our Transportation Practice in our
Portland, Maine office.
Annual Compensation: $95,000 - 185,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

BRIDGE ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio.
- Point person and firm's contact with clients while functioning as project manager.
- Assists in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects.
- Guides and coordinates internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Possesses an understanding of all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects.
- Responsible for assisting Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices.
- On larger projects, may or may not be involved directly in the design.
- Apprise Operations Management of employee performance on projects.
- Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects so they can manage staffing.
- Assist in informal development of other employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
BRIDGE ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:Education:- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required; M.S. degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- P.E. license required.
- Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus.
Qualifications:- At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering.
- Experience working with DOTs required.
- Project team leadership experience.
- Project and client management experience.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills required.
- MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil-3D software experience is preferred.
