About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive production efficiencies and optimize processes across our production lines. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, enhance operational efficiency, and foster a culture of innovation. Your analytical skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams will be critical to your success.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen workshops, 5S audits, and value stream mapping, to identify and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques (DMAIC, 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, PDCA) to drive process improvements and problem-solving.
- Analyze production and downtime data to identify trends, root causes, and develop effective prevention plans.
- Implement preventative and corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Coach and mentor team members on continuous improvement methodologies and best practices.
- Track and report on the progress, outcomes, and return on investment (ROI) of continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the success of improvement projects.
- Champion a culture of innovation by encouraging feedback, recognizing achievements, and fostering a commitment to continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or process optimization.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including MS Office products.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of high-speed equipment.
- Experience in a fast-paced production environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing best practices.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- GMP and HACCP experience.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
