Partner with the best We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our CAD Automation team within a leading Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer specializing in turbomachinery (turbines, compressors, and related components). This role is pivotal in developing, deploying, and maintaining advanced CAD automation solutions that accelerate the design of complex mechanical components and assemblies.
The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical design fundamentals with programming expertise and a passion for digital engineering and process optimization.
As CAD Software Engineer , you will be responsible for :
- Develop ing parametric CAD models and drafting for turbomachinery components (e.g., shafts, impellers, blades, valves , baseplate ).
- Implement ing and maintain design automation tools using CAD APIs (e.g., NX Open)
- Support ing deployment of new automation releases and manage versioning and documentation.
- Troubleshoot ing and optimize existing CAD tools to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Integrat ing automation workflows with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) ensuring data consistency and compliance with internal standards.
- Collaborat ing with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, R&D) to translate engineering requirements into automated solutions.
- Document ing technical solutions, creating user manuals, and deliver ing training sessions for internal stakeholders.
- Contribut ing to digital transformation initiatives, including model-based definition (MBD) and design standardization.
- Provid ing functional support to final users analyzing root causes and applying corrective actions
Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will have :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, Creo, SolidWorks).
- Experience with CAD automation and scripting
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and turbomachinery components.
- Knowledge of drafting standards, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
