The Opportunity:
As our Senior Process Project Manager, you won't just manage timelines, you will hold the keys to high-visibility, multi-million-dollar CapEx initiatives. From conceptual design through commissioning, you will engineer the advanced processing systems that power our global manufacturing network.
The Role & Scope of Impact:
In this corporate leadership role, you will quarterback end-to-end strategic capital investment and process improvement projects across our yogurt manufacturing plants.
Key Responsibilities
- CapEx Leadership: Lead end-to-end project management for major yogurt process initiatives, from conceptual stage-gate design through FAT/SAT, commissioning, ramp-up, and formal handover.
- Process Design & Engineering: Develop comprehensive project packages including process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, equipment layouts, scopes of work, and ROI justifications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Plant Operations, Quality, R&D, Finance, and the Lactalis Group Corporate Engineering Department to ensure designs meet global standards.
- Vendor & Contract Mastery: Pre-qualify suppliers and lead high-stakes negotiations for major capital assets, engineering services, and system integrations.
- System Optimization: Oversee the installation and optimization of fluid processing systems, ensuring seamless integration with automation, environmental, and food safety standards.
Qualifications: From Your Story to Ours
We are looking for a pragmatic, ambitious engineer who thrives on the mechanical and chemical complexities of liquid food processing.
Educational Foundation
- Bachelor’s Degree Required – Major in Food, Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
Proven Experience
- 8+ Years in Capital Expenditure (CapEx): Direct experience personally owning and executing multi-million-dollar projects (Multi-site or corporate engineering experience highly preferred).
- 8+ Years in Liquid Food/Beverage: Specialized, deep domain expertise in Dairy, Beverage, or Liquid Food Manufacturing is required.
- 5+ Years Regulated Environments: Mastery of USDA, FDA, and Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) regulations.
Technical Expertise
- Core Unit Operations: Deep understanding of fluid dynamics, pasteurization, separation, standardization, homogenization, and fermentation.
- Sanitary Design: Practical knowledge of 3-A Standards, cGMPs, CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems, and microbiological control.
- Engineering Tools: Proficiency in Mass & Energy Balances, MS Project, and AutoCAD. (Understanding of PLC, SCADA, and automation controls is a major plus).
- Certification: PMP certification is highly recommended.
