Weinberg Engineering is a growing civil engineering firm specializing in land development. We provide engineering services for residential, commercial, and municipal site development projects. While the majority of our established client base is currently in Washington State, we are beginning to expand our presence in Mississippi.
As our project workload grows, we're looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Ocean Springs and take the lead on the engineering and design of our local projects.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Civil Professional Engineer to join our Ocean Springs office!
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to play a key role in growing a civil engineering practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the lead engineer for Mississippi projects, providing technical expertise in local design standards, permitting requirements, and applicable state and local regulations. At the same time, you'll collaborate with our team on a variety of projects, including supporting engineering and design efforts on projects in other states as needed.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead engineer for civil engineering projects throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
- Manage civil engineering projects from proposal through construction.
- Design grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, roadway, and site development projects.
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and construction plans.
- Interpret and apply Mississippi state and local development regulations, permitting requirements, and engineering standards.
- Coordinate with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, architects, utility providers, permitting agencies, and other consultants.
- Respond to agency review comments and attend meetings with clients and permitting agencies.
- Collaborate with the team on projects in other states as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Mississippi.
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Mississippi design standards, permitting processes, stormwater regulations, and local development requirements.
- Experience with site development, grading, drainage, stormwater, and municipal projects.
- Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
