eJoule Process Engineer - PhD Position
General Purpose/Objective
eJoule is seeking a highly motivated PhD level Process Engineer to support the research, development, scale-up, and characterization of advanced cathode materials for next-generation lithium-ion batteries. The successful candidate will play a key role in powder synthesis, material optimization, electrochemical data evaluation, and process development from laboratory to pilot-scale production.
Process Engineer Job Objectives:
- Develop and characterize newly-synthesized battery materials
- Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Support in testing method development
- Operate testing equipment
- Summarize tech data and provide verbal and/or written reports.
- Maintain maintenance of lab and equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related majors;
- Hands-on experience with powder material synthesis, processing, and using characterization tool such as particle size analyzer, XRD, SEM.
- Experience designing and analyzing DOE studies for process optimization and material development.
- Hands-on experience on the preparation and measures of the chemical solutions
- Good communication skills - written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to complete manner projects in a timely
- Good team work spirit
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid State Chemistry or Inorganic Chemistry experience
- Experience scaling materials from laboratory development to pilot or commercial production
- Basic understanding of Lithium-ion battery
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
