The ideal candidate for the Human Resource Manager position will have experience in all areas of the Human Resource function, including experience working in a union environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, benefit administration, compensation, recruitment and retention elements including screening, interviews, hiring, on-boarding, compliance, administration, and providing support for the employment process, as well as maintenance of incoming calls, walk in inquiries, special projects, coaching and counseling assistance to all colleagues as required, coordination of certain employee relations events and initiatives including celebrations, cafeteria postings, recognition programs, and colleague experience calendar.
This position will report to the Assistant Director of Human Resources. Additionally, ideal candidates with previous experience and knowledge with the following systems is a plus: Taleo, ADP EV6, HireRight, Equifax, MySedwick, and WFM Dimensions. This position is required to attend all hotel meetings and trainings. Perform other duties and special projects on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications
· Refined verbal, written, and presentation skills in English and Spanish
· 2 years or more of HR experience in a hotel preferred.
· A 4-year college degree; or a 2-year college degree and 2 or more years of related experience.
· A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be proficient in general computer knowledge including Microsoft Suites, Outlook, excel, etc.
· Outstanding customer relations, communication, presentation, and organizational skills are of utmost importance.
· Must possess the following strengths: high energy, results driven, passion, motivational leader, effective and open communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service.
· Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
· Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
· Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
· Must be solution oriented, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
· Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
· Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
