Die Process Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite. Define and deliver next-generation manufacturing processes in support of future-model vehicle programs. This job supports the engineering of stamping dies for Fords core sheet metal panels. Conduct early stamping process feasibility in an integrated CAD/CAE environment. Lead the creation of draw die CAD developments and construction release files for new model stampings. Update and maintain existing stamping die process information. Develop stamping die processes for new model parts, optimized for cost and quality, while meeting timing to achieve company objectives. Perform simulations of stamping processes for comprehensive formability evaluation. Optimize stamping processes through draw and line die simulations. Provide feedback to product design to correct stamping concerns through the launch of production. Support die design and tooling construction problem resolution. Domestic Travel Required up to 10%.
