Columbia Threadneedle Investments is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to partner with the Institutional and DCIO distribution groups to develop, produce and maintain high-impact, cost effective marketing communications and programs that support our goals of enhancing brand and garnering assets within the Institutional and DCIO arena.
The ideal candidate will have a record of success designing and delivering targeted marketing campaigns and event marketing, and of closely collaborating with marketing and business partners. You will be comfortable using marketing/sales enablement tools and analyzing and reporting metrics and measurements. You are a focused and creative thinker who has experience with digital strategies and a data-driven approach to marketing. You have excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and execute complex marketing programs and/or initiatives. Partner with internal or external partners to ensure execution of projects is flawless, on-time, and within budget. Understand, champion and partner closely with business partners to develop marketing strategy in line with business objectives and goals.
- Plan and manage implementation of communications to support Sales, Consultant Relations and Client Relations teams. This will include development of campaign strategies and materials.
- Work across the organization to ensure alignment and integration. Act as brand advocate by having strong familiarity with look, feel, voice and overall brand presence of Columbia Threadneedle Investments.
- Drive measurable program results, with a focus on digital engagement and brand awareness. Track program participation and results, provide recommendations for improvements, and execute approved recommendations in a timely manner. Involved in defining/refining strategies for evolving the business.
- Manage and support industry events through speaker promotion, brand awareness and thought leadership. Measure success to help drive future events strategy.
- Collaborate with functional marketing areas to deliver multichannel campaigns. Key marketing stakeholders include Intermediary Channel Marketing, Event Marketing, Product Marketing, Thought Leadership, Value Add, Creative & Content, Advertising & Brand, Digital Marketing and External Communications.
- Ensure adherence to budget, risk, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years financial services marketing experience, ideally within the institutional arena.
- Broad knowledge of asset management business.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, communicate and interact with people at all levels across the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Institutional financial services experience.
- Experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud and Jira.
- Comfortable in an Agile work environment.

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $78,500 - $105,900/ year. Base salaries are determined in part based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that support all aspects of your health and well-being.
