SUMMARY
An on-farm sales role selling and promoting GEA Hygiene Products and supplies, advising dairy customers helping them maximize milk quality, herd health and production, while improving customers bottom line.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- You will report to Director of Sales, and together establish your sales targets based on agreed strategies. You will introduce new products, prepare strategic discussions on how to grow the business, etc.
- Understand customer's goals for milk quality and assist them to achieve milk quality goals by providing hygiene solutions, while building relationships with our customers, offering them products for specific purposes, giving advice that's fully tailored to each situation and application.
- Provide continuous support answering on all types of technical questions related to our products and proposing solutions with our Hygiene Technical Support Team.
- Develop your skill set as a problem solver, milk quality specialist, consultant and sales professional.
- Complete customer supply inventory and place orders for each of your customers.
- Monitor your customers milk quality counts on a weekly basis.
- Set collection expectations and assist with AR when asked to assist.
- Return phone calls, texts and any correspondence to customers and managers on a timely fashion. Phone calls and texts are to be returned by end of each working day. Emails within two working days unless specified.
- Manage your stock inventory and reconcile monthly. Assist with inventory audits.
- Turn paper written Customer Orders at the end of each month. Also known as CO's.
- Complete Monthly Sales Activity form and return to Sales Manager he first of each following month.
- Fill out and turn in necessary Service Request Approval forms, Order Forms, time cards, expense reports, necessary agreements as directed by Sales Manager.
- Keep customer information current in company CRM.
- Commercial guidance such as follow-up on pricing, orders, together with our Customer service team etc.
- Building and maintaining strong and long-term relationships with your partners in your territory.
- Ensuring that all hygiene equipment is operating smoothly by monitoring and reporting on equipment performance, maintenance needs, and hygiene technical team performance.
- Initiate work requests, perform minor performance within capabilities.
Your Profile / Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience in the dairy industry, experienced with milk quality, dairy equipment installation, and service.
- 3 years of sales.
- Associate degree or higher or applicable dairy industry experience and education may be used as an equivalent.
- Ability to understand issues and resolve/address strategically.
- Willingness to work in a team of professionals.
- Computer skills and knowledge of software and hardware.
- Organization and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks.
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly.
- Good communication
- Self-motivated
- Desire to grow business.
