As a Business Analyst I, you will apply intellectual curiosity to cross-functional collaborative efforts to contribute to solving business needs. With guidance, you will be responsible for supporting the elicitation, definition, and documentation of business requirements that contribute to process development for limited complexity work efforts. In addition, you will leverage your analytical abilities to contribute to key insights and optimized solutions that have an impact on the business and/or systems.
This is a virtual/telecommuter position, working from home.
What you’ll do:
With guidance, support translating business needs into solid business and functional requirements for work efforts of limited complexity.
Contribute to the creation of concise, organized Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) using standard, industry recognized tools and best practices.
Partner with business unit and IT or other departments as needed to ensure successful implementation and ongoing business and/or systems support when appropriate.
May facilitate small group meetings, Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, or individual interviews of stakeholders to identify desired business objectives.
Conduct research and interview subject matter experts to create "As-is" and "To-be" process flows. Apply critical thinking to evaluate cross functional dependencies.
With guidance, contribute to business facing test scenarios, test scripts/cases, and mock-ups of data necessary to conduct testing. Assist in creating the traceability between requirements and scenarios to ensure business requirements are met. May monitor and report on testing activity and results.
Provide input on the development of appropriate training materials to support the needs of functional areas.
May provide support to business units for system problems and enhancements.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s Degree or (4) years of work experience. (Required)
(1) year of experience in an environment researching technical or business problems, conducting root cause analysis, or making solution recommendations. (Required)
Exposure to Lean methodology or Six Sigma preferred.
Exposure with Microsoft Project, Visio, or SharePoint preferred.
Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries preferred.
Exposure in a project environment that uses Agile or Waterfall methodologies preferred.
Demonstrated ability to aggregate information, requirements, or data in a coherent manner. Ability to apply analytical, problem solving and/or technical abilities to daily responsibilities.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.
National Salary Range:
$49,700.00 - $74,600.00
National Plus Salary Range:
$56,600.00 - $84,900.00
*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
