Job Summary
The Data Analytics Engineer helps develop, maintain, and enhance the organization's enterprise analytics and reporting platform. Working closely with the CIO, software development team, and business departments, this position transforms operational data into meaningful reports, dashboards, and business insights.

The successful candidate will receive mentorship while developing expertise in Microsoft Fabric, enterprise reporting, data modeling, and Power BI. Over time, this position will become a key contributor to the organization's long-term analytics capabilities.
Duties
Enterprise Analytics Platform
- Grow into the primary administrator and developer of the Microsoft Fabric reporting environment.
- Assist in maintaining data models, datasets, and reporting structures.
- Monitor scheduled refreshes and platform performance.
- Participate in planning future analytics enhancements.
Data Engineering
- Build and maintain automated data pipelines.
- Assist in developing data warehouse and semantic models.
- Troubleshoot data integration and transformation issues.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Assist with migrating legacy Crystal Reports.
- Build reusable reporting datasets.
- Work with business users to understand reporting needs.
Business Partnership
- Meet with departments to gather reporting requirements.
- Translate business questions into reporting solutions.
- Recommend reporting improvements and KPI opportunities.
Data Quality & Governance
- Maintain documentation and data definitions.
- Support data quality initiatives.
- Assist with report security and governance.
- Support compliance efforts including SOC 2.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics, database development, data engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent internship, co-op, or significant project experience may be considered.
- Experience creating reports in Power BI, Tableau, or a similar BI platform.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud analytics platforms.
- Experience in healthcare revenue cycle, financial services, or call center operations.
Skills
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability and desire to learn new technologies.
- ETL/ELT concepts.
- Data warehouse and dimensional modeling concepts.
- Power Query and DAX.
- Experience working with version control.
- REST APIs
Physical Requirements
