Purpose
The Close & Accounting Department belongs to the Corporate & Business Solutions Center (CBSC), and especially, Forecast to Report Department.
You will play a key role overseeing all related accounting activities for a dedicated pillar/scope composed of many companies incorporated in different countries, with many different specificities, with a substantial involvement in tax and treasury.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the monthly or quarterly closing for Group purposes, ensuring the processes and timetable are well applied
- Prepare the quarterly topics in conjunction with different finance stakeholders
- Anticipate and ensure the data quality in the ERP to reduce the impact on the consolidated packages quality
- Review, analyze, challenge, and submit the Balance Sheet report sent to the Group consolidation team for your scope of companies
- Support the accounting processes documentation/procedures in close relation with the Delivery Control team and the GPO
- Ensure internal control procedures are applied (IcoFr framework)
- Contribute to optimize the accounting team in charge of project accounting
- Analyze and improve processes in close coordination with the Delivery Control Manager, aiming to simplify and increase their efficiency and contributing to the automation and digitalization of processes in the new ERP and on other IT tools.
- Ensure Group accounting policies are applied in the accounting processes of the relevant companies
- Supervise the preparation, audit and filing of the statutory Financial Statements of several companies under relevant Standards (mainly IFRS)
- If needed, support the preparation of accounting position paper to document non-recurring transactions with specific accounting treatment
- Be a key contributor in the set up of new projects (contract analysis, accounting treatment, ERP set up etc...)
- Responsible of internal Tax reporting packages for relevant entities
- Be the main point of contact of external auditors in relation to Group audit and statutory audits for the scope of companies
- Responsible of the financial information provided to Joint ventures partners (liaise with Joint Venture Partners, ensure proper preparation of the Board package for the entities under a joint-venture agreement...)
- Manage the teams (including day to day supervision, training, coaching, appraising and development).
Education
- MBA / Master degree in Accounting or Finance / Business School
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in accounting / finance / reporting areas with management role allowing a good knowledge and understanding of finance and reporting processes in an international environment, Big 4 and/or share service experience will be valued
- Solid accounting and IFRS knowledge (especially IFRS15 for long term contracts and IFRS16 as lessor and lessee)
- Solid experience in preparation of Statutory financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP's
- Experience in tax reporting requirements
- Background in financial/accounting process optimization and continuous improvement will be valued, namely on automation and digitalization of processes;
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbally analytical skills and critical thinking
- Proactive team player
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills;
- Ability to work under pressure to meet specific deadlines, including in a fast-moving environment
- Strong orientation to results and problem solving
- Ease and proactivity in the relationship with other internal and external stakeholders, namely cost controllers (Business Control and Advisory), reporting, JV managers, etc.
