NVIDIA is looking for a highly motivated individuals to join its fast-paced customer delivery organization in the Vehicle Software Engineer role based in Stuttgart region. In this role, you will be supporting the organization’s efforts to bringup data collection vehicles and adapt NVIDIA’s autonomous driving software stack to various vehicles and drive the function behavior to maturity. It involves tuning and adapting self-driving software in the target vehicles and on the customer sites / testing grounds.
What you’ll be doing:
Be responsible for scaling efforts of data collection vehicles bringup and integrating, adapting and testing of NVIDIA vehicle automation software in customer development vehicles.
Installing, trouble-shooting and operating software.
Collect test data or tune parameters live in-car.
Understand the quality standards and expected functionality of brand-new features.
Analyze & diagnose the underlying events contributing to these metrics, identify issues and help improving the product experience
What we need to see:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in an engineering field.
- Well-rounded knowledge of electronics, software and mechatronics
Good knowledge of embedded systems and C/C++ and a scripting language (Python, Bash, etc) to be proficient operating a complex software stack.
Ability to work efficiently with Linux environment on the command line.
Good communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization skills, soft skills for customer interaction.
Passion for working on vehicles, autonomous driving or software engineering.
Onsite attendance in one of the development and testing locations in the greater Stuttgart area is required daily. Flexibility of work hours and willingness to travel around Europe to support vehicle bring-up and functional adaptation and testing in many locations.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Well-rounded knowledge of automotive technologies especially how an autonomous vehicle software stack (or similar large system) works
Internship experience as ADAS software engineer at a Tier 1 or OEM.
Practical experience dealing with the challenges in integrating many components into one solution
Understanding of vehicle architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
EU driver license and advanced driving skills for test driving prototypes that requires a special training and license (T2)
