REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Developer

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Parallax is looking to add a developer to our team. This position will use industry leading best practices to develop systems, tools and analysis capabilities to drive future profits.

Specific Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Work with software engineers and downstream consumers to enhance existing infrastructure and develop new functionality to support all aspects of the enterprise including:

N-tier application development in C#
Front-end design and implementation primarily in WinForms
Development and tuning of queries in SQL and time series databases
Data processing, manipulation, and analysis in a scripting language

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other relevant field of study
2+ years development experience
Experience building and supporting large-scale, multi-tier applications
Must be a U.S citizen or authorized to work in the U.S on a permanent basis

TECHNICAL ABILITIES/PROGRAMS:

Microsoft .NET Framework
Python
C# proficiency
UI development
Agile development
Continuous integration

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

Strong aptitude for software development
Must be highly organized and have strong attention to detail
Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and work effectively as a team player
Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, quality, innovation and continuous improvement
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
