We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic Controller who is ready to make a lasting impact while preparing to step into a future CFO role within the next 3–5 years.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead and support the accounting function across day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. You’ll bring sharp attention to detail, a passion for process improvement, and a collaborative mindset to elevate our financial systems and support our business growth.

In this role, you will:

Lead general ledger activities and oversee A/R, A/P, payroll accounting, sales tax filings, and fixed assets
Manage a 3 + team of A/P, A/R, and accounting members
Own the monthly close process, ensuring timeliness and GAAP compliance
Conduct daily cash reconciliations and support weekly cash flow forecasting
Oversee account reconciliations and maintain a clean balance sheet
Ensure tax and regulatory compliance across U.S. and Canadian operations
Serve as a primary point of contact for audits and external accountants
Evaluate and enhance accounting systems, tools, and workflows
Identify automation opportunities and improve data accuracy
Collaborate across departments to support budgeting, cost containment, and operational efficiency
Develop SOPs and train team members to ensure consistency and accuracy

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone who’s both strategic and hands-on—ready to lead and ready to dig in.

You have:

3+ years of experience as a Controller in a manufacturing environment (inventory-heavy experience preferred)
Strong foundation in general ledger accounting, payroll, tax, audit, and compliance
A track record of process improvement and interdepartmental collaboration
A BS or MS in Accounting (CMA preferred)
Experience leading teams and developing documentation and training materials
The drive and potential to move into a CFO role within 3–5 years
