Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for an automotive enthusiast to guide our Vehicle Strategy & Planning. This is a full-time role reporting to the National Manager, Sales & Inventory Planning. The selected candidate will be accountable for guiding a team to increase alignment, holistic coordination of the sales and marketing areas of the company in aid of Toyota and Lexus vehicle launches, and key vehicle sales strategies to achieve both vehicle and TCI objectives.

What You'll be Doing:- Lead development and accountability for creation of Toyota and Lexus vehicle strategies, direct and coordinate all planning activity for implementation across TCI and with other partners
- Build consensus and accountability for TCI's key sales strategies, including FMC launches and sustainment of key volume models
- Achieve profitable annual sales, share, demographic, and other targets for in-scope vehicles
- Guide cross-functional Toyota and Lexus Vehicle Launch Committees with key sales and marketing departments in the strategic alignment and execution of new vehicle launch strategies to guide successful launch of vehicles with all operational considerations covered, extending at times into after sales departments
- Liaise with TMNA as TCI's key contact for vehicle launch coordination, enterprise considerations, as well as participation in study teams and initial discovery trips
- Oversee and ensure regular PDCA of vehicle launches and key strategies at appropriate timing, recommend directional changes in vehicle strategy to ensure profitable annual sales, share, demographic, regulatory compliance, and other targets are met
- Direct team to research, analyze, interpret, and deliver industry, market, competitive findings and intelligence for vehicle launches and sustainment, including market studies, and recommend TCI's best course of action
People Management- Provide timely guidance, coaching, feedback, and accountability for direct reports to drive learning & development and successful project completion
- Influence team members to foster collaboration, awareness, support & Kaizen (continuous improvement) resulting in work efficiencies
- Empower the team to take initiative and proactively influence the business
What You'll Bring:- University degree/diploma in Business Administration, Automotive studies or related discipline
- Five years related work experience; field experience an asset.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Strong business awareness of all aspects of the Canadian automotive industry
- Highly organized
- Know how to multitask and oversee multiple priorities
- Proven experience in guiding, motivating, and holding cross-functional groups accountable
