Main Function: This position will be instrumental in achieving Best Place to Work designation by serving as a true culture changer. Responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources function. Direct and coordinate human resources activities, such as team member fulfillment, oversight of total rewards administration, benefits administration, worker's compensation, leaves of absence, team member training, and team member services, etc.
Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or University in Human Resources Management; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred but not required
- At minimum 5 years' experience as a generalist preferably in health care or related setting
- Knowledge of Employment Laws, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certificate preferred, but not required
- Excellent influencing, negotiation communication, customer service and team collaboration skills
- Proven track record of complex team member relations management and implementation of organizational effectiveness interventions
Essential Duties: 1. Act as the HR team lead on overall HR compliance including but not limited to overall benefits programs management and design, LOA/FMLA, WC, unemployment, EEOC, ADA, etc.
2. Serve as the back up to the Vice President of Human Resources to conduct investigations and provide recommendations on all grievances, including discrimination and harassment issues to minimize legal exposure
3. Stay proactive in identifying team member relations, issues and problems and take initiative in developing appropriate action plans
4. Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets management information needs.
5. Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization and processes any requests for information. Responsible for compliance with all labor related laws
6. Lead capability building programs to ensure all leadership staff are adept on human resources policies and practices
7. Provide guidance and assistance to team members on the administration of team member benefits and process all benefit changes/enrollments/bills. Serve as lead for Open Enrollment process
8. Partners with team members and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations
9. Represents the company for any unemployment claims
10. Facilitates or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce
11. Maintains and coordinates team member recognition programs
12. Serve as HR team lead for HRIS
13. Serve as HR team lead for e-learning system
14. Serve as lead for the performance management process
15. Serve as lead for HR data analytics
16. Serve as co-lead on total reward program
17. Serve as recruitment back up for the Talent Acquisition Manager
18. Coordinates and supports team member scholarship, tuition reimbursement and tutoring activities
19. Accountable for promoting internal customer service
20. Abide by the organization's code of conduct in the performance of their duties
