Data Engineer II
Location: Brentwood, TN (Hybrid)
As a Data Engineer II at IVX Health, you’ll be a critical member of our data analytics team, leading the development and optimization of data pipelines, enhancing data integration, and building scalable infrastructure to support key business operations. You’ll partner with IT, Product, Finance, and Business Analysts to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and availability of data across the enterprise.

What You Will Do

Data System Management and Optimization

Lead the development and optimization of data pipelines, data models, and ETL processes within Azure environments.

Collaborate with Product, Strategy, and Pharmacy teams to standardize and integrate data sources effectively.

Maintain and enhance core business systems (G4 & Unlimited Financials, IKnowMed, Fusebox, Relatient) to ensure scalability and reliability.

Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and proactive monitoring to guarantee data reliability and quality.

Data Integration and Model Design

Design and manage scalable infrastructure to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.

Create reusable data models for operational, clinical, and financial reporting across the enterprise.

Optimize data integration processes to support new systems and partnerships.

Data Governance and Security

Implement data governance best practices to ensure privacy, security, and compliance with HIPAA and GDPR.

Contribute to the development of long-term data strategies for scalability and maintainability.

Communication and Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex data concepts into actionable insights.

Mentor Data Engineer I team members and provide guidance on best practices.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing leadership with hands-on development.
What You'll Bring

Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience: 3–5 years in data engineering, with a focus on healthcare or clinical environments preferred.

Skills:

Advanced proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and ETL processes

Strong understanding of Azure cloud-based infrastructure

Experience building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures

Expertise in data modeling and warehouse management

Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau

Knowledgeable in data governance, security policies, and privacy regulations

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues
