Position Summary: The Electromechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems and components. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, electrical wiring skills, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble mechanical and electrical components into finished products or subassemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Pull, route, and terminate wire and conduit (EMT, RMC, flexible, etc.) for control panels, machinery, and equipment.
- Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of assembled systems to ensure proper operation.
- Identify and resolve assembly issues, including mechanical misalignments and electrical faults.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including test results and assembly records.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve assembly processes and resolve technical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree in electromechanical technology preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly or a related field.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Skilled in running conduit and pulling wire in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with basic electrical testing tools (multimeters, continuity testers, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:- Experience with PLC wiring and control systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Forklift or lift certification is a plus.
