We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Data Engineer with a strong background in the healthcare and insurance industries. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with major healthcare organizations such as Ascension and Elevance, and demonstrate advanced skills in Python, PySpark, and Gemini for code automation. This role requires a deep understanding of agent-to-agent and agent-to-API architectures, HL7 protocols, and a proven track record of working in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize scalable AI/ML data pipelines using GCP tools and services
- Automate data engineering workflows with Gemini and advanced Python scripting
- Utilize PySpark for large-scale data transformation and processing
- Design and implement agent-to-agent and agent-to-API data integration models
- Ensure interoperability using HL7 standards in healthcare data exchanges
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions for the client and partner organizations such as Ascension and Elevance
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of data engineering experience in healthcare or insurance domains
- Hands-on experience with systems used by organizations like Ascension or Elevance
- Strong coding skills in Python and PySpark
- Proficiency in GCP services for data engineering and machine learning
- Experience automating workflows with Gemini
- Solid understanding of HL7 protocols and healthcare data standards
- Familiarity with agent-to-agent and agent-to-API architectures
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Must be located in EST or CST time zones
Certifications (Required):
- At least one active Google Cloud certification:
- Professional Data Engineer
- Professional Machine Learning Engineer
- Professional Cloud Developer
Preferred:
- Experience deploying ML models in production healthcare environments
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and data privacy standards
