What You Will Do:
As a Design Engineer, you’ll lead AV project designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards while supporting Sales and Operations teams with technical expertise. You’ll manage project drawings, develop processes, and stay ahead of industry advancements. This role also involves mentoring team members and fostering a positive work culture.
AV Design & Technical Expertise
- Design and develop AV solutions that meet industry standards and client needs.
- Manage project drawings, collaborating with CAD services from submission to finalization.
- Ensure designs align with the latest AV best practices and compliance requirements.
- Assist Sales and Operations teams with product recommendations, technical guidance, and AV solutions.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
Innovation & Process Improvement
- Stay updated on AV advancements across multiple sectors (K-12, Enterprise and beyond)
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and refine departmental processes for efficiency and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Collaboration & Client Support
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless AV installations.
- Support Sales and Operations by enhancing their AV technical knowledge.
- Maintain a professional image and represent KCAV with a positive attitude.
- Travel locally and regionally as needed.
What We Are Looking For:
- 5+ years of AV design experience
- XTEN-AV software experience preferred. Q360 ERP Software experience a plus.
- Proficiency in reading AutoCAD drawings and writing scopes of work.
- Strong understanding of AV products, trends, and best practices.
- Technical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and create Bills of Materials.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- QSC & NETGEAR product: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
