Director of Sales - North America
The Director of Sales- North America is responsible for leading global sales efforts within the Commercial division of Elemental Enzymes, with a strategic focus on the agricultural market. This role is accountable for achieving annual sales targets by developing and executing go-to-market strategies specifically designed to drive growth through all market channels. The Director leads a high-performing sales team, collaborates cross-functionally to align product development with customer needs, and ensures commercial strategies support corporate growth objectives.
Job Description:
- Lead, coach, and manage the North America Commercial agricultural sales team to drive performance across all sales channels.
- Set clear targets and expectations; track and ensure achievement of sales goals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies focused on penetrating and expanding relationships with regional agricultural retailers and wholesalers.
- Drive forecasting, budgeting, and territory planning across the team.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
- Identify and grow high-potential accounts; expand distribution networks.
- Oversee channel development, sales programs, and partner performance metrics.
- Work with marketing, R&D, and technical teams to incorporate customer feedback into product innovation and positioning.
- Influence promotional strategies and go-to-market initiatives based on market needs.
- Manage sales planning, pipeline development, and performance analytics.
- Optimize the use of tools and internal sales systems to drive efficiency and visibility.
- Represent the company at trade shows, field days, and distributor events.
- Deliver presentations and proposals that clearly communicate the company's value to the retail and wholesale segments.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives as directed by executive leadership.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the sales and account teams.
- Conduct coaching sessions, team meetings, and performance evaluations.
- Make recommendations on promotions, compensation, and development plans.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or a related technical field
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the agriculture sector
- At least 5 years of experience leading sales teams
- Proven success in growing sales through regional agricultural retailers and wholesalers
- Strong understanding of agricultural distribution and sales operations
- MBA or advanced business degree
- Experience selling agricultural inputs (e.g., biologicals, crop nutrition, crop protection)
- Familiarity with channel sales strategy and execution
- Multi-regional or global sales experience

- Environmental Exposure: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and operates primarily in an indoor setting.
