Main responsibilities:
Safety Section
- Manage the planning and execution of various safety plans, including annual and four-year plans, and provide support to ensure that action plans are developed and implemented across IEOC and operating companies.
- Develop, implement and maintain safety-related procedures and standards within the HSE Management System, ensuring compliance with international standards, certification requirements and Eni policies.
- Establish and maintain safety procedures aligned with HSE best practices for all company locations (exploration, drilling, offices, and operational bases), and provide technical advice for their HSE management.
- Ensure incident investigations are conducted, coordinate with line management and prepare lateral learning documentation.
- Assist the HSE Department Manager in overseeing all company activities and safety-related matters.
- Develop, implement and maintain the company's HSE Management System in accordance with international standards (ISO 39001 and OHSAS 18001).
- Ensure that safety audits and inspections are planned and executed at IEOC sites.
- Ensure that HSE risk screenings and management exercises are conducted for IEOC and operating bases.
- Ensure all new employees receive basic safety training and briefings.
Emergency Section
- Manage the planning and execution of ER drills (Levels I, II, and III) at IEOC.
- Act as the focal point for HQ and external ER audits.
- Serve as the liaison with EMERG departments and Eni Upstream functions for ER activities.
- Ensure regular updates to the ER strategy and plans.
- Manage upgrades and promote continuous improvement of IEOC ER processes, including those for Cairo office buildings.
- Ensure the delivery of internal ER training to IEOC EAT and other involved functions.
- Manage and coordinate the monitoring and reporting of ER activities.
- Act as the focal point for ER issues across all internal departments.
Skills and experience required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Environment, Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
- Significant experience in HSE in the oil & gas industry.
- Experience working with Safety Operational Control frameworks.
- Experience working with external stakeholders, e.g. Fire Brigade, Civil Defense, Labor Office.
- Strong knowledge of relevant local and international HSE standards.
- Able to make sound and decisive judgements on HSE business processes, and suggest improvements or solutions when necessary.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional level of English.
