SUMMARY:
Designs products that meet the specifications established by management with optimum manufacturability and minimal risk. Controls internal and customer-supplied drawings, specifications and other engineering-related documents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Must be capable of handling all levels of engineering projects. Must have the ability to design and evaluate designs by assessing stress calculations, soundness of design, simulation calculations and results, and manufacturability and risk.
- Take responsibility for projects that have passed initial reviews by completing calculations, drawings and specifications, and establishing engineering records of such documents. Works with outside resources to have designs and projects verified and or certified.
- Must be able to lead other employees and or peers in projects. Take a leadership role in certain areas and projects.
- Reviews customer-supplied drawings for errors and factors that require unnecessary manufacturing cost and unacceptable risk, and presents alternate solutions to the customer.
- Develops test procedures that detect flaws in design and confirms intended performance.
- Trains departments on how to use the documents controlled by Engineering such as drawings, specifications, etc.
- Troubleshoots installation problems with all manufactured products. This includes customers interactions plus on-site trouble shooting of product and design.
- Controls all engineering-related documents by ensuring that they are current and available, and that engineering changes are clearly communicated.
- Able to fill in or be a backup to the Engineering Supervisor when needed.
- Complies with all applicable requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with 5 years’ experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
