A leading energy firm specializing in non-operated minority working and mineral interests across premier U.S. oil and gas basins are looking for a talented Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their team. This role can be based remotely for the right candidate.
Role Summary:
Seeking a seasoned Reservoir Engineer to analyze well performance, prepare reserve estimates, and evaluate asset development opportunities within the Permian Basin, with a focus on unconventional assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate asset development and exploitation opportunities, reserve profiles, and profitability for existing properties and potential acquisitions.
- Conduct internal reserve and economic evaluations for acquisition, exploration, drilling, recompletion, and workover opportunities.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize data to identify and communicate insights.
- Develop engineering models integrating well performance and production forecasting.
- Perform technical and economic evaluations to add reserves.
- Steward business results and make recommendations to increase asset value.
- Complete budgeting, forecasting, and reserve/economic analysis for year-end reserve reporting on existing assets.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate existing and new workflows and onboard new assets.
- Take on additional duties and perform special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of relevant reservoir engineering and transaction experience at an operator, non-operator, private equity sponsor, and/or investment bank.
- Experience with data management, science, and analytics is preferred.
- Proficiency in ARIES, SQL, Excel, Access, Spotfire, other data visualization tools, and Enverus suite of products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong planning, organizational, training, teamwork, and presentation skills.
- Experience in Lower 48 basins.
