Government Meetings Planner, Senior
Key Role:Envision, imagine, and execute small and large-scale government meetings and events for a cutting-edge research and development agency. Coordinate across a multi-disciplinary group that may have different needs with respect to event and meeting planning. Be accountable for events and meetings budgets and successfully manage both a team and the logistical and financial aspects of all events. Coordinate internal and external communications and facilitate all site selection, contract negotiation, rooming, food and beverage, registration, audio-visual, budget reporting, and expense reconciliation. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts. Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies.
Basic Qualifications:- 8+ years of experience with meeting and conference planning and management for in-person, hybrid, and virtual events, including annual meetings, award programs, workshops, and virtual events
- 5+ years of experience with sourcing, site selection, and contract negotiation
- Experience leading people or a team, and with analytics at the strategic or operational level
- Knowledge of event technology, including audio or visual services, registration management platforms, and virtual meeting or webinar platforms
- Ability to cultivate internal and external stakeholder relationships and collaborate cross-functionally across multiple groups
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of management, including executive leadership
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Certified Meeting Planner or Certified Government Meeting Professional Certification
Additional Qualifications:- Experience with Cvent event management platform
- Knowledge of video and audio-conferencing equipment
- Knowledge of federal government meeting planning
- Ability to coordinate multiple events concurrently
- Ability to multitask and pay strict attention to details
- Possession of excellent client service delivery skills
- Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
