Position Summary

This new position, Vice President - Product Development, leads the company’s R&D, new product development, current product support, and product validation efforts – for both hydraulic and electric product families. Succeeding in this role requires experience in and a vision for product development, regular and outstanding communications, exceptional organization and project management, constant awareness of risks and opportunities, strong leadership and commitment to building a strong team, and a passion for results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work closely with the business development team to understand market opportunities and prioritize product development activities.
Develop a multi-year plan to strategically deploy product development personnel, equipment, and capital.
Establish strong cross-functional product development teams and actively stay on top of priorities, progress, challenges, opportunities, and contingencies to help them keep moving forward.
Be a vocal advocate for innovation, world class product quality/reliability, and meeting commitments.
Lead the product development team across multiple locations – constantly building an effective and deep team.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from a 4-year university and 20 years related experience (including 10 years of high-level leadership experience) – related to mechanical, hydraulic, and electric products

Expected Travel

Up to 35% of domestic travel is expected for this position.
