Eni, we are looking for an
Accounting Reference employee within
Eni Natural Energies (ENE) in
Mozambique. You will be responsible for assisting the Chief Accountant with processing invoices from receipt to payment, issuing billing and maintaining the company's General Ledger.
Main responsibilities - Booking invoices received and matching them to contracts in SAP.
- Following up on invoice approvals with User Departments.
- Liaising with company contractors regarding invoice payment matters.
- Maintaining the general ledger and preparing journals.
- Calculating accounting entries for month-end processes (e.g. depreciation, capitalisation).
- Reconciling relevant balance sheet accounts.
- Executing cost allocations in SAP and generating debit notes to group companies.
- Preparing monthly billing statements for operated Joint Ventures.
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with various audits conducted by external auditors, headquarters, government bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Preparing ad hoc accounting analyses.
Skills and experience required:
- Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or another related discipline.
- 3-5 years' experience working in the Accounting Department of a well-reputed global or multinational organisation.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with SAP or a similar accounting system.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Intermediate level of English.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- A professional of unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated vision and values through project or team work.
- Ability to adapt to a challenging and evolving environment; willingness to take on new responsibilities as the business develops.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, persuasion, motivation, and loyalty.
- HSE-related training.
