Eni, we are looking for a Chief Accountant within Eni Rovuma Basin BV in Mozambique. You will be responsible for leading the Company in all day-to-day accounting activities. Providing full support in coordinating all kinds of audits and reviews and coordinate with other departments for audit activities between the Company and relevant stakeholders. Also coordinating all the financial activities related to JV Partners & the Finance Sub-Committees.
About Eni Rovuma Basin Eni Rovuma Basin B.V. is a key player in the development and production of natural gas in the Rovuma Basin, offshore Mozambique. The company is involved in the Coral South project, which is transforming vast gas resources into liquefied natural gas (LNG) for global markets. Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing financial statements of the Company;
- To liaise and support the Company and all the other groups within the department;
- To liaise with other departments, stakeholders and other agents
- Ensure timely closure of all monthly processes -
- Ensure the process and booking of all invoices and debit notes
- Ensure proper maintenance of all financial records of the company in accordance with EPCC and other applicable laws
- Ensure billings, debit notes and other reports are sent out to the relevant stakeholders
- Comply with all procedures, MSGs and OPIs related to finance.
- Support Planning section and HQ by providing them appropriate data and support for monthly closure of books and reporting of numbers.
- Verify the expenditures recorded in invoices and service entries in accordance with business objectives and highlight deviations to the finance manager
Skills and experience required:
- Degree in Accounting or Economics
- 10 years of experience of working in the Accounting Department of a well reputed global
multinational organization
- Excellent knowledge of financial and economic analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and IAS.
- Excellent Management Skills.
- Excellent Budgeting Skills.
- Excellent financial knowledge both national and international.
- Sound knowledge of the oil & gas industry.
- Excellent SAP & excel Skills;
