OverviewWe're seeking a
Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing team working on innovative products from
cradle to grave - from initial concept and requirements, through design, testing, production, and final delivery to clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on technical ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring that complex products meet rigorous compliance and certification standards.
Key Responsibilities- Participate from the requirements definition stage, working closely with product managers and clients to translate needs into clear technical specifications.
- Lead electrical design efforts, including circuit card design and integration.
- Collaborate with mechanical, industrial, and design teams to ensure seamless product development.
- Support testing, certification, production, and delivery stages to ensure products meet international safety and EMC standards.
- Work with third-party vendors to facilitate product certification prior to production.
- Contribute to new product launches as well as sustaining engineering for existing products.
Success in the First Year- Build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrate autonomy and problem-solving by presenting solutions-not just problems-to leadership.
- Launch products that fully meet compliance matrices (e.g., 300+ individual requirements on new systems).
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in electrical circuit design and full product lifecycle development.
- Familiarity with North American and European electrical safety and EMC standards.
- Experience supporting product certification processes.
- Strong communication skills in French (mandatory) and English.
- Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in a dynamic environment.
