At Eni, we are looking for a Complex Storage Advisor within Eni CCUS Netherlands. Reporting to the Head of Complex Storage Management, you will be responsible for performing and providing expert technical guidance and strategic oversight for subsurface studies and asset management, ensuring the optimal characterization and development of storage sites.
Main responsibilities:
• Perform the subsurface data analysis for storage site / complex characterisation, CO2 injection forecasting, and estimations for CO2 resource storage, providing expert guidance to the Head of Storage Complex Management and the wider team.
• Act as the company expert on all subsurface matters, with a particular focus on storage site characterisation and injection.
• Oversee operations activities (drilling, logging, sampling, coring, etc) during all phases of the CCS project execution, conducting real-time analysis to drive strategic decisions and to update the site's subsurface characterisation.
• Perform multidisciplinary subsurface studies aimed at the optimisation and continuous improvement of the storage complex development.
• Support the Head of Storage Complex Management in managing the delivery of all subsurface-related documents.
• Promote and lead an integrated team approach including specialists in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum engineering and Flow Assurance engineering.
• Represent and defend Eni's position in all relevant meeting with operators, local government, regulators and other stakeholders as required.
• Initiate and manage strategic interactions with other operators with the view of fostering knowledge sharing and exchanging ideas that benefit all parties.
• Establish and manage a robust process for the dissemination of all innovative technological applications, technical information and expertise gained from partners, operators, consultants and contractors across the company.
• Oversee and maintain the company database, ensuring that data related to storage sites and complex sub surface are accurately recorded and updated.
• Ensure full compliance with the Eni Code of Ethics and Law 231 principles.
Skills and experience required:
• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Geology, or similar.
• Significant prior experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably also with CCS.
• Strong understanding of reservoir characterisation, interpretating well data, and subsurface analysis.
• Deep knowledge of reservoir characterization and 3D modelling techniques
• Strong understanding on operations and process facilities in the upstream area.
• Experience using Petrel, GEM, Eclipse, Intersect and/or OLGA.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and adaptable to business needs.
• Able to work autonomously and with a proactive mindset.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
• Able to work effectively in a team, leading technical teams when required.
• Fluent level of English and Dutch.
