The Computer Engineer III will be part of a senior engineering team providing full life cycle support for Navy combat systems and support equipment. This includes research, design, development, testing, and implementation of both hardware and software systems that enhance operational readiness and reduce lifecycle costs.
Key Responsibilities:- Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software systems.
- Design and evaluate components such as chips, circuit boards, and peripheral equipment.
- Oversee manufacturing and installation of computer hardware and related systems.
- Develop and implement software systems for control of digital devices and Navy systems.
- Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematics to software design and evaluation.
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
- Develop software for operating systems, network distribution, and compilers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related technical issues.
- Focus on algorithm development and advanced problem-solving.
- Utilize programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and occasionally Fortran or COBOL.
Required Qualifications:- U.S. Citizenship
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience supporting Navy programs
- Familiarity with Navy combat systems and lifecycle support
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Compensation$106,080 - $147,680 per year
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
