The Role
Our Client is seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Developer who excels in constructing reliable, scalable data solutions to support business insights. In this position, you will be responsible for the design, development, and upkeep of the data warehouse ecosystem, ensuring critical systems are efficient, secure, and robust. Your pivotal role will involve transforming raw data into actionable intelligence, directly contributing to decision-making and business progress.
Location
This role is located in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will work on-site three days a week, with the option for remote work on other days.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize high-performance data warehouse solutions tailored to business intelligence and reporting requirements.
Create and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines to merge diverse data sources into a unified warehouse environment.
Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to translate needs into effective data models and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance systems for reliability and speed.
Establish robust data governance, validation, and documentation practices to ensure compliance and security.
Utilize both Azure cloud platforms and on-premise systems to deliver versatile, contemporary solutions.
What You Bring
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrate 3+ years of successful experience in data warehouse development and ETL process design.
Possess expertise in data modeling techniques (e.g., star and snowflake schema).
Have a strong command of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and advanced SQL methods.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools, Python, and cloud-based APIs.
Be familiar with Git or other version control systems.
Comprehend data governance and security principles thoroughly.
Display exceptional problem-solving, time management, and collaboration abilities.
Exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with technical and business teams.
