Job Title: Junior Engineer
SUMMARY: This role has been created as part of our USA engineering team based in Scotts Valley, CA.
· To become a product expert in all aspects of the DakotaNDT ranges.
· Assisting customers with product use and application related questions.
· Generate technical presentations, application notes and sales training materials.
· Maintain manufacturing production equipment and new development handover.
· Support product innovations, research tasks and the R&D development process
· Product sustaining, evaluations and testing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Function
Sales & Customer Support
1. Respond to technical questions from internal and external customers.
2. Training of end users and dealers on product ranges, developing material as required.
3. Develop application notes and other media to educate product use, features and support sales.
Engineering support
4. Production equipment and factory team support.
5. Work with engineering on product sustaining needs, testing and evaluating new products.
6. Supporting new development of new products, adding value, from end user and industry knowledge

Education and/or Experience:
- NDT Product knowledge advantage
- Ultrasonic understanding desired
- Knowledge of Computer Programming in C and Java an advantage
Computer Skills:
- Recent training in Microsoft Windows management
- Ability to setup and maintain Windows computer including installing applications.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret specifications, computer code and basic English
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and tactfully present information to and communicate with other employees and clients on occasion.
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including accurate grammar and business correspondence knowledge.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts used in physics and electronics. Ability to apply concepts such as required to solve well defined problems
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve physics problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must possess the ability to make sound independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

TRAVEL: This job requires minimal routine travel within close proximity to the regular assigned work location. There is a limited potential for some travel to customer sites or global technical/sales events.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
