Our client is seeking a Data Engineer who is passionate about transforming raw data into valuable insights that drive strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. This is a hybrid position based in Fairfield County, CT.
Data Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties:
Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integrations across various platforms
Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable solutions
Build and maintain reliable data architecture to ensure accuracy, scalability, and performance
Develop and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards
Automate workflows for data collection, transformation, and delivery
Data Engineer's Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL frameworks
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Snowflake, Redshift)
Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, DBT, Kafka)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
