Job Description: Flight Simulator Systems Engineer (Must have former Military Operational Experience)
Clearance: Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance
Requirement: Immediate hire, Full time, Full benefits
Work week: 8 hrs/day. Availability for early/late testing support outside standard hours.
Work Location: Orlando, Florida (with travel up to 10%, including international)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Modeling & Simulation, or Computer Science
Salary: $150K + depending on experience
Job Summary: The Systems Engineer will support the integration and acceptance of USAF simulators and sites on the CAF DMON using DIS/HLA protocols. Responsibilities include system analysis, test planning and execution, technical troubleshooting, and stakeholder coordination. The role requires experience in distributed simulation and military aviation systems, as well as flexibility in working hours and occasional travel. Candidates must possess strong technical, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Basic Qualifications (Must have former military operational experience):
- Within the last 7 years, USAF, USN, USMC, or USA rated operational experience specifically related to the air combat environment and air combat systems.
- Experience Categories accepted:
o Former rated fighter or bomber pilot/navigator, combat helicopter pilot, special operations pilot, RPA pilot.
o Former non-rated air combat control experience (some examples are, but not limited to – AWACS/Hawkeye controller, Combat Controller, JTAC).
- Experience in air combat systems or operational roles within USAF, USN, USMC, or USA.
- Availability for early/late testing support outside standard hours.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DIS, HLA, or TENA simulation protocols.
- Experience with DoD Aircraft Systems and distributed simulation systems.
- Testing experience (I&T, VV&A, OT&E, or system analysis and troubleshooting of technical systems).
- Ability to present technical material to diverse audiences.
