Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Engineer to oversee, manage, and continuously improve our production operations. This role is responsible for ensuring all builds move through the production process efficiently, on schedule, and at the highest standard of quality. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and an ability to coordinate between engineering, suppliers, and the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production activities to ensure on-time delivery
- Track build progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to maintain workflow
- Coordinate with engineering, design, and fabrication teams to align on build requirements
- Maintain and manage production documentation, build sheets, and issue logs.
- Monitor quality at each stage of production and ensure adherence to standards
- Develop, implement, and refine SOPs to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide engineering-based solutions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across workflow, tooling, and production methods
- Provide engineering guidance to technicians and fabricators during assembly
- Assist with design reviews for manufacturability and production readiness
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors for parts, materials, and manufacturing support
- Manage timelines, resource allocation, and cross-functional communication
- Ensure production goals align with company priorities and customer delivery expectations
- Report progress, risks, and needs to leadership weekly
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 3-7 years of experience in production engineering or manufacturing management
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and production workflows
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Automotive or low-volume manufacturing experience is a significant plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
