Human Resource Manager - City of Bristol Tennessee, under general supervision of the Director of Administration, is seeking a Human Resource Manager. This is a working manager position with oversight and responsibility for functional areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment, selection, onboarding, HRIS, leave administration, and compliance. Provides advice, assistance and followup on City policies, procedures, and documentation. The Human Resource Manager is responsible for his/her own projects and work plan in addition to managing a staff.
Successful candidates must have ability to plan, coordinate, and direct work of the department, effectively communicate with staff, other city departments, and the public, and ability to research complex issues and recommend an effective course of action. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management with five years of proven working experience to include at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity required with in-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices. Public sector human resource experience, PHR or SPHR Certification, and Master's Degree in relevant field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have the ability to quickly learn the City's HRIS
system. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
The successful candidate can expect a competitive benefits package with an annual hiring range of $62,471 to $93,707. Salary offered will be dependent on qualifications.
