Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an Assistant Engineer for our New York office. As part of our water/wastewater/stormwater team you will have exceptional opportunities to provide superior solutions to our clients’ most difficult problems through a variety of water related assignments and participate on design teams across an array of challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project work may include initial studies, design and inspection of conveyance systems
-
Inspection of stormwater infrastructure
-
Design of wastewater treatment facility upgrades
-
Design of water treatment facility upgrades, asset management, and/or design of green infrastructure.

Field work and site visits from study or design through construction may be required.
Required Qualifications:
-
B.S. degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering; or related engineering field (MS considered a plus)

EIT or plan to obtain

Entry Level to 2 years of experience

Candidate must possess excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Must be proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

CADD and other software (GIS, etc.) skills will be considered a plus.

Candidate must have strong organizational skills.
