Electrical Engineer – MEP Building Systems Design

Join a collaborative team designing reliable, efficient electrical systems that power real-world facilities — from schools and offices to industrial sites and multi-family developments.
We're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to exciting projects across commercial, industrial, educational, and multi-family sectors. You'll work both independently and alongside talented engineers and designers, mentoring juniors while delivering high-quality construction documents and site evaluations.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with fellow engineers and work independently to deliver complete electrical designs from concept through construction.
- Guide and mentor junior designers and engineers to successfully complete projects on time and within scope.
- Develop comprehensive electrical construction documents, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, educational, and multi-family facilities.
- Travel to project sites (as needed) to evaluate existing electrical systems, gather critical data, prepare reports, and inform accurate designs.
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, local codes, and best practices for safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
What We're Looking For: Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience in the field).
- 3+ years of direct experience developing electrical construction documents for commercial, industrial, educational, and/or multi-family projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP for modeling, drafting, and coordination.
- Strong leadership abilities to guide teams and junior staff.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for client interactions, team coordination, and technical reporting.
- Adept at thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize under pressure.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or actively on track to obtain one (encouraged and supported!).
- Experience with site investigations, load calculations, coordination with architects/MEP teams, and sustainable design practices.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
