Overview
This is a hands-on, senior-level electrical engineering role focused on industrial automation and machinery. You will design, troubleshoot, and commission electrical and control systems for custom machinery, including motor controls, power distribution, and PLC-based automation.
Important Notice:
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in the U.S. and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a U.S.-accredited institution. Candidates with primarily contract work, limited U.S.-based experience, or frequent job changes may not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical system design and schematics for industrial machinery
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical and mechanical systems
- Support projects from concept through commissioning and startup
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and applicable U.S. electrical codes
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and automation issues on custom machinery
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (U.S.-accredited)
- 5+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in the U.S.
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and motor controls
- Proficiency with PLC programming / control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and reading/creating electrical schematics
- Familiarity with Medium Voltage (MV) systems, VSD/VFDs, transformers, and switchgear
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and commissioning experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to SolidWorks or mechanical drawings (for collaboration with mechanical team)
- Experience in industrial manufacturing / custom machinery environments
- Experience with load flow analysis, protective relays, or energy management systems
- Technical leadership or project management experience

- $105,000–$160,000 per year (DOE), Based on experience
