We are looking for a Planning & Reporting Analyst to join Eni Netherlands CCUS B.V. in The Hague. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for preparing, analysing and submitting financial reporting (P&L, balance sheets and operational data) to the relevant systems, covering monthly actuals, quarterly forecasts and the annual budget for the Company. You will ensure accuracy and compliance with Netherlands CCUS BV's accounting principles and procedures, provide timely variance analysis and financial insights to management, and contribute to delivering reliable financial information across the business.
About Eni Netherlands CCUS B.V.
Eni Netherlands CCUS B.V. has the ambition to be a key CCS player in the Netherlands and plays an integral role in the Aramis Value Chain via its L10-CCS project. With a total storage capacity of approximately 100 MT, it is currently the largest Co2 store in the Dutch North Sea. L10-CCS is aiming to start Co2 injection for storage by 2030 and is a key infrastructure in the Dutch energy landscape, playing an essential role for decarbonisation of North West Europe, particularly with regards to hard-to-abate sectors.
Main responsibilities:
- Submit the Company's actual Capex, Opex and common-cost budget in a timely manner, and follow up on variance analysis of actuals versus budget (cost control).
- Contribute to the preparation of the Company's monthly, quarterly and year-end P&L, balance sheets and financial information and data in line with procedures and deadlines.
- Perform actual-versus-budget control and variance analysis across the various economic and financial data.
- Provide guidelines on the cost-allocation process and support the process to ensure timely completion.
- Produce detailed cash-flow forecasts and budgets, working closely with the operations and project teams.
- Consolidate forecasts, budgets/plans, balance sheets and financial information and data in accordance with procedures and deadlines.
- Support the implementation of Eni financial policies, assess the financial and economic impact of business operations on the Company's results, and identify and select the most appropriate accounting treatments to meet the Company's financial objectives.
- Support other teams within the Company as required.
- Offer guidance and support to others within the section.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Skills and experience required:
- University degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management or a related discipline.
- Membership of a recognised accounting body is recommended (CA, CIMA or ACCA).
- Previous experience in a budgeting, cost control or reporting role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; knowledge of Oracle EPM would be an advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of SAP architecture and its use for Finance purposes.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work accurately and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international and diverse environment.
- A proactive attitude.
