Overview
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Nuclear Engineers to join our growing team and contribute to the design, development, analysis, and safety evaluation of advanced nuclear systems. Ideal candidates will have strong backgrounds in system design, thermal-hydraulics, safety systems, systems engineering, and mechanical engineering, with additional experience in programming, modeling, and simulation.

Key Responsibilities:
System Design, Thermal-Hydraulics & Safety
- Design and analyze nuclear systems, including reactor components, heat transfer systems, and engineered safety features.
- Conduct thermal-hydraulic modeling and simulation (steady-state and transient).
- Perform safety system evaluations, accident analysis, and regulatory compliance assessments.
- Support safety analysis reports, hazard analyses, and system reliability evaluations.
- Contribute to system-level integration across mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering teams.
Engineering, Modeling & Software Development
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Fortran for simulation, modeling, automation, and data analysis.
- Work with nuclear analysis tools (e.g., CFD, RELAP5, etc.).
- Prepare engineering calculations, design documents, and technical reports.
Facilities, Operations & Quality
- Develop and implement system design specifications for nuclear facilities.
- Engage in laboratory testing and experimental validation of system performance.
- Provide engineering support for construction and system integration activities.
- Perform quality assurance assessments in accordance with nuclear standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with safety, integrity, and material performance requirements.
Control Systems & Operations
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of distributed control systems for nuclear operations.
- Analyze system performance, safety margins, and potential failure modes.
Preferred Areas of Expertise
Candidates with experience in one or more of the following will be strongly preferred:
- Nuclear system design (pumps, heat exchangers, primary/secondary loops)
- Thermal-hydraulics (CFD, system codes, multiphysics modeling)
- Nuclear safety systems and regulatory compliance
- Systems engineering and mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Reactor physics, materials, or structural integrity
- Construction or manufacturing for nuclear facilities
- Distributed control systems for nuclear plants
- Nuclear quality assurance and testing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with engineering computation tools.
- Experience with programming (Python, C++, Fortran) for modeling or data analysis.
- Solid understanding of nuclear systems, mechanical concepts, and safety principles.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
