Exxelia Micropen is a technology leader in the design, development and manufacturing of precision resistor components, medical devices and other electronic components and sensors. We are looking for a Product Development Engineer to join our team to support the growing needs of our Product Development Group.
Job Summary:
As a Product Development Engineer, you will be the main customer technical interface to guide projects from initial concept and prototype development through final product and process qualification with the intent of ultimately resulting in serial production at Exxelia Micropen. This individual will reside in the Product Development Group and be responsible for the day-to-day technological challenges associated with assigned development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and refine customer design parameters into innovative product and process solutions.
- Interact with customer product development engineers and material suppliers to co-develop the proper material sets and designs.
- Provide guidance to process technicians during the development of prototype samples.
- Create technical prototypes and reports.
- Act as a technical interface with the customer product development engineers.
- Provide input to product and process cost models.
- Provide input and guidance to manufacturing process development and qualification.
Education & Work Experience:
- BS in Engineering.
- 10+ years of Industrial experience.
- Experience in Technical Writing, strong skills a must.
Qualifications:

- Ability to manage multiple & varied responsibilities (i.e. tasks, projects) in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Experience in a high performance, highly collaborative work environment preferred.
- Self-driven and highly motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Aptitude for mechanical and motion-controlled devices.
- Experience in business and customer interaction a plus.
- AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience desired.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
