The Director, Sales & Marketing Analytics, is key member of the team providing analytical support to the Sales & Marketing function (Brand Marketing, Field Sales Leadership) of a growing commercial organization with four approved products and a portfolio of pipeline product candidates. This position will be the primary analytical business partner for the Rare Disease – Sleep Medicine Business Unit Marketing Team and will provide analytical support to Sales Leadership as well. In addition, this position will work with other functions in Data, Analytics & Insights and with Commercial Operations, IT, Finance, Program Management and Compliance on cross functional solutions. This position will work a weekly hybrid schedule in our Waltham office.
This position will report to the Sr Director, Sales & Marketing Analytics.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales & Marketing leaders and other stakeholders to identify key business questions and knowledge gaps that can be addressed via analyses and reports. Areas of focus include the following:
- Track performance of markets and product launches, including launch readiness and post-launch performance assessment
- Quantify treatment provider landscapes and segments, including market assessments, provider segmentation, and opportunity sizing
- Develop brand performance analytics and metrics, including launch success measures and early adoption indicators
- Evaluate effectiveness of marketing and field efforts, competitor dynamics, and market response; identify challenges and opportunities; provide actionable insights and recommendations
- Support business plan development, launch planning, targeting strategy, and execution tracking
- Support the continued growth of LUMRYZ ™ among appropriate patients
- Support launch planning for alixorexton
- Determine required data sources (internal and external) to address business questions.
- Add depth to insights by developing a thorough understanding of all key brand commercial dynamics, including disease state, market landscape, product attributes, unmet needs, key treatment providers / prescribers and payers.
- Provide ongoing, high-level strategic consulting to all internal stakeholders to ensure maximum leverage of insights.
- Manage vendors and data sources used for analyses.
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science or quantitative disciplines such as mathematics or statistics required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience using analytical techniques to address business questions.
- Minimum of 10 years in an analytics role and at least 5 years in a decision support leadership role. Experience with biopharma sales & marketing analytics preferred.
- Experience with rare disease products, product launches preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL skills; proficient with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Word. Experience with Tableau and python preferred.
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources such as IQVIA, Symphony Health, Komodo and specialty pharmacy reported data (referral status, dispense).

- Demonstrated ability to develop effective / collaborative working relationships with Sales & Marketing leadership. Ability to understand business requirements, propose solutions, gain alignment and execute.
- Strong quantitative abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, including ability to synthesize information and make recommendations.
- Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent and, occasionally, competing initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to develop and articulate actionable, fact-based, insights and recommendations.
- Ability to communicate requirements to vendors and manage their performance.
- Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical marketing.
- Ability to work a weekly hybrid schedule in our Waltham office
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $190,000 to $215,000. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus.
