Position SummaryThe position is responsible for closing prospective clients and achieving quotas on new business, cross-sells, and up-sells. The position is also responsible for leading all pre-contract discussions with a prospective client and capturing the opportunity within the CHEMTREC CRM System. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Sales.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with the Senior Sales Manager, Sales Operations team, and CHEMTREC CRM opportunity queuing processes to receive and act upon assigned inbound and outbound leads.
- Engages assigned prospects in a timely manner via phone, video conferencing, email, LinkedIn, and/or face-to-face communications, to understand customer needs and requirements.
- introduces CHEMTREC's offerings to prospective and existing customers.
- Completes initial discovery of needs, determines appropriate scope and pricing options, .guides prospect/customer on determining the preferred solution, and negotiates strategically using playbook.
- Develops and prepares proposals for new customer contracts, collaborating externally and internally to adhere to legal requirements, company policies, or other.
- Works within the CHEMTREC CRM System to document all prospect engagements, discussions, and offerings.
- Collaborates with other departments (including Product, Account Management, Sales, and/or Customer Service) to strategically sell or implement solutions effectively.
- Sets tasks, action items, and reminders to ensure strong, consistent follow-up with clients and meticulous pipeline management.
- Builds, maintains and converts a large pipeline of leads and opportunities with a high degree of velocity, by effectively prioritizing deals based on Estimated Close Date, Deal Size, or other criteria.
- Manages inbound phone inquiries within Sales Phone Queue.
- Generates a high volume of 'Total Activities', including phone calls, emails, tasks, and follow up items.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years' relevant work experience.
- Proven experience in a client facing role, preferably B2B sales or account management in a subscription type or SAAS business model.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets by managing a high velocity of leads and opportunities.
- Superior communication skills for video, telephone, and/or face-to-face discussions with prospective clients.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Professional level skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and oral communications skills, as well as the ability to give internal and public presentations.
- Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
- Goal oriented and highly motivated.
Preferred
- Demonstrated success in similar industry.
