Position Title: Equipment Shift Engineer

Description:
The Equipment Shift Engineer specializes in the operation, maintenance, and optimization of production machinery and systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety. This role includes overseeing proper installations and maintenance of equipment to minimize production delays and support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities:
- Provide equipment-related technical support to ongoing production operations, including maintenance, spare parts, repairs, and documentation of support activities.
- Analyze operational data, downtime reports, and maintenance logs to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Utilize data analysis tools to track equipment performance and develop actionable strategies to increase uptime and efficiency.
- Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates.
- Track machine downtime and recommend strategies to reduce it.
- Implement safety policies and procedures for the department.
- Help to develop and manage a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule; ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out and lead the team to deliver effectively.
- Train and support employees in the proper use, monitoring, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, statistical tools, or reliability tracking software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar).
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work on a 12-hour continental shift (Day/Night) rotation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
